Sports Information Graduate Assistant

After a yearlong internship, the Florida State Sports Information office gave me the incredible opportunity to take a full time graduate assistant position while I attained my master’s degree in sports administration. I took the role of media liaison for the men’s and women’s track and field teams, men’s and women’s cross country teams and the women’s tennis team. My duties included managing daily communications between the athletics department and the media, generating annual media guides, traveling to conference tournaments and successfully planning and executing more than 25 regular and post-season public events including a handful of national events with several thousand participants. In addition to covering the teams assigned to me, I also assisted with the media needs of the football, basketball and baseball teams. Samples of my work are included below.
