Dust & Daydreams captures a solitary cowgirl against a sprawling Western landscape, somewhere between the place she’s standing and wherever her mind has wandered. From the distant clouds and rolling hills to the feather tucked into her hat, this piece is filled with hand-burned and painted details that reward a closer look.
It’s one of those pieces that feels both peaceful and a little mysterious (and one of my personal favorites).
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a one-of-a-kind original created by hand using pyrography (wood burning) and painted mixed-media details on a natural wood slice.
The wood measures approximately 11″ × 8.5″ and is about .6″ thick. Natural bark edges, grain, texture and variations in the wood are intentionally preserved as part of the finished artwork, making the piece truly unique.
A sawtooth hanger is installed on the back, so your artwork arrives ready to hang.
Only one original exists.
Because this piece is made on natural wood, irregularities in the surface and edges are part of its character.
