Writing

From the age of eight, I’ve had a passion for writing. Thanks to the encouragement of some great teachers, my elementary school interest in creative writing evolved into a high school interest in journalism. After three years as editor of the school paper, I headed to Florida State with plans to return to my roots and major in creative writing. Within a few weeks of arriving on campus, however, I came to the realization that a creative writing degree would not equal a best-selling novel, so I decided in the interest of practicality (and gainful employment) that I would change my major to something that involved writing, but also came with a very hire-able skill set–public relations.
