Dead Man Riding features a grinning skeletal cowboy in profile, complete with weathered hat and bright red bandana. The stripped-back composition lets the burned linework and stippled details take center stage against a bold turquoise background.
A little Western, a little macabre and just weird enough to belong here.
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a one-of-a-kind original created by hand using pyrography (wood burning) and painted mixed-media details on a natural wood slice.
The wood measures approximately 8″ × 11″ and is about .6″ thick. Natural bark edges, grain, texture and variations in the wood are intentionally preserved as part of the finished artwork, making the piece truly unique.
A sawtooth hanger is installed on the back, so your artwork arrives ready to hang.
Only one original exists.
Because this piece is made on natural wood, irregularities in the surface and edges are part of its character.
